The Motosumo app connects to any Bluetooth compatible heart rate monitor that use a standard Bluetooth protocol for transmitting data. This means that most modern Bluetooth heart rate monitors will work with Motosumo.
We've compiled a list of heart rate monitors that are tested to work with Motosumo. This is not an exhaustive list, it simply serves as inspiration if you are going to buy a heart rate monitor to use with the Motosumo app.

If you are having trouble connecting your heart rate monitor to Motosumo, see our list of common issues with Bluetooth heart rate monitors.
NOTE: Motosumo does not support ANT+ devices directly. If you have an ANT+ heart rate monitor you want to connect, it is possible to do so through for example a CABLE device.
Fitbit: Is not supported yet as Fitbit does not allow us to connect to their devices. We are trying to make them change their mind.
Garmin watches: Are not supported yet as Garmin does not allow us to connect to them. We are trying to find a solution.
Update: Garmin just launched a first version for their newest watches that allows to connect, but it is in beta and only applies for what they call virtual running but can be used with Motosumo.
