Got a CABLE unit? Great!

Here’s how to set it up.

NOTE: If you have an ANT+ heart rate monitor, it is also possible to use a CABLE unit to connect that.

1. Download the CABLE Util app (currently only available on iOs). (insert link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cableutil/id1095165396).

2. Place your CABLE device anywhere on your bike, or at least within 3 meters.

3. Get on your bike and start pedaling!

4. Your CABLE device will be asleep. Wake it up by tapping it twice. Tap harder! You should now see a green LED light flashing every 2 seconds.

5. Keep pedaling!

6. Grab your phone and open the CABLE Util app. Give it a second to do its thing:

7. Tap MENU, then tap SCAN ANT+ SENSORS.

8. You’ll see a bunch of different sensor options. Hit BIKE POWER. Make sure the box is checked.

9. Now tap ANT+ <-> BLE ASSIGNMENTS and choose the CPS option.

10. Once you’ve selected your sensors, tap MENU and SAVE SENSORS. Congratulations! Your CABLE device is now paired up with your sensors.

11. To rename your sensor, tap MENU then CHANGE BLUETOOTH NAME.

12. Almost there! Close the CABLE Util app (running it in the background may cause connectivity issues).

13. Open Motosumo. Tap the lightning icon. Now tap on the name of your sensor and wait for it to connect. Tap DONE.

Hoorah! Motosumo is now receiving data from your bike.

Next time you want to fire up a session, just start pedaling and double tap the CABLE device to wake it up. Tap harder!
